Board and Executive Management reaffirm support for national efforts to address exceptional circumstances and challenges

Kuwait City, Kuwait 5th August 2026: Ooredoo Kuwait has announced that its Board of Directors has approved a US$5 million contribution to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, reaffirming the company’s commitment to Kuwait and its continued support for national initiatives and efforts aimed at strengthening the country’s ability to respond to emergencies and exceptional challenges.

As part of the decision, Ooredoo Kuwait’s Board of Directors, together with the company’s Executive Management, has committed to mobilising its capabilities, resources and technical expertise to support national efforts and respond to the country’s needs.

As a leading telecommunications and technology company, Ooredoo Kuwait has an advanced digital infrastructure, technical and operational capabilities, and sophisticated technology solutions that can be deployed in support of the national interest and to strengthen the readiness of state institutions in a range of circumstances.

The initiative reflects Ooredoo Kuwait’s belief that its role extends <a href="https://middleeastdaily.net/shaffra-takes-autonomous-ai-teams-beyond-the-gcc-expands-into-the-caspian-region/”>beyond providing telecommunications and technology services. It also encompasses actively supporting the community and standing alongside government institutions and national initiatives, particularly at times when coordinated efforts and close public-private sector collaboration are essential.

The contribution reflects Ooredoo Kuwait’s longstanding institutional approach, centred on initiative, responsibility and active participation in efforts that serve Kuwait and strengthen its security and social stability.

For Ooredoo Kuwait, patriotism is more than a slogan. It is a practical commitment translated into meaningful decisions and initiatives designed to create a lasting positive impact.

Supporting Community Protection and National Readiness

Ooredoo Kuwait’s contribution to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund will support the fund’s objectives of unifying national efforts and strengthening collaboration and institutional integration among entities across Kuwait. In doing so, it will contribute to the country’s ability to respond effectively and swiftly to emergency needs.

Through this initiative, Ooredoo Kuwait reaffirms its position as one of the national companies at the forefront of supporting initiatives that serve Kuwait and its people. The company remains committed to being a genuine partner in the country’s development journey and an active contributor to addressing challenges by deploying its technical, institutional and operational resources to deliver a sustainable and positive impact.

Building on a Strong Record of Community Initiatives

The contribution builds on Ooredoo Kuwait’s longstanding record of community and national initiatives, including support for vital sectors, participation in humanitarian and awareness campaigns, youth empowerment, and efforts to advance education, innovation and digital transformation.

The company also continues to work closely with government institutions and community organisations on initiatives designed to create meaningful value for society.

Ooredoo Kuwait views corporate social responsibility as an integral part of its broader corporate strategy, rather than a seasonal or short-term activity. The company therefore continues to develop initiatives with direct and measurable impact, aligned with national priorities and responsive to the evolving needs and aspirations of the community, in line with its sustainability strategy and commitment to community service.

Ooredoo Kuwait believes that strong partnerships between government institutions and the private sector are essential to strengthening national readiness and ensuring an effective response to changing circumstances and challenges.

With this in mind, the company continues to leverage its technology capabilities, networks, expertise and resources in support of national efforts and to contribute to an integrated ecosystem built on resilience, efficiency and the ability to respond effectively.

The contribution, together with Ooredoo Kuwait’s commitment to deploying its capabilities in support of government sectors, reflects the importance the company places on its national responsibilities. It also demonstrates its determination to take meaningful action commensurate with its position as a leading national company and an integral part of the country’s economic and social fabric.

Ooredoo Kuwait will continue to operate with a strong sense of responsibility, guided by its sustainability strategy and its commitment to being an active national partner within the community.

The company will continue to play its role as a trusted national partner supporting Kuwait’s development and stability, while placing its technological and operational capabilities at the service of the country and its people.

The contribution reaffirms Ooredoo Kuwait’s belief that supporting Kuwait is a shared responsibility and a firmly established priority across all of the company’s activities and initiatives.
