Kuwait, 26 September 2026: Building on its commitment to advancing tech education in Kuwait, talabat, the leading everyday app in Middle East & North Africa (MENA), hosted the latest session of its “Next Tech Gen” (NTG) initiative in partnership with CODED Academy. The collaboration brought a specialized two-day knowledge-sharing workshop to students at Abdullah Al-Salem University.
As part of its education-focused corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, talabat continues to organize educational events under the umbrella of NTG, an ongoing monthly program designed to bridge the gap between academia and the evolving needs of the labor market. The program gives students the opportunity to learn directly from talabat’s technology experts through practical sessions covering key technology areas, including artificial intelligence (AI), product development, data analytics, and digital platforms.
For this session of NTG, talabat partnered with CODED Academy—the region’s first academy specializing in coding education—to deliver a practical workshop designed to equip students with future-ready skills. Over the course of two intensive days, participants learned how to design, launch, and transform fully integrated websites into scalable digital projects that address real market needs, equipping them with the skills needed to turn their ideas into promising digital ventures. Reflecting the growing interest among Kuwait’s youth in technology, the workshop attracted more than 100 participants across both days.

Among the 90 project ideas presented during the workshop, several innovative websites stood out, including a prediction platform created for a group of friends at a diwaniya to compete during the knockout stage of the FIFA World Cup 2026. The platform allows participants to predict the winner of each match from the quarter-finals through to the final, earning points for every correct prediction. A live leaderboard tracks participants’ rankings throughout the tournament, with the most accurate participant crowned champion at the final whistle of the final match on 19 July.
In line with talabat’s ongoing efforts to empower ambitious Kuwaiti talent with practical, future-ready skills, the workshop introduced participants to the latest AI-powered website development tools and techniques. This included training on effective prompt engineering and the use of advanced platforms such as Replit to design, develop, and launch fully integrated websites.
Participants also gained practical experience in integrating external digital services, understanding modern web application architecture, and developing the commercial skills needed to transform digital solutions into scalable and sustainable ventures through effective business models. This equips them to apply their technical knowledge to launch market-ready digital projects with strong commercial potential.
