As part of its all-encompassing digital transformation strategy and commitment to offering its employees a dynamic and memorable work experience, Burgan Bank organized an interactive augmented reality (AR) treasure hunt at Al-Shaheed Park. Titled “Values Unlocked” ownership, Transparency, Teamwork & Passion, the event was designed to engage 300 employees from 60 teams across departments <a href="https://middleeastdaily.net/g-shock-returns-to-sole-dxb-2025-with-a-fresh-lineup-and-limited-releases/”>with Burgan Bank’s values, strategy, vision, and mission through a fun, immersive format. The activation created an inviting atmosphere that reinforced a one-team spirit and reinforced communication among employees outside the traditional work setting.

The AR team-building event underscored Burgan Bank’s commitment to adopting creative, technology-supported solutions in line with its forward-looking digital transformation strategy. With “Values Unlocked”, this digital-first approach aligns seamlessly with the Bank’s robust learning and talent development strategy as well as people-centric work culture – both of which continue to leverage the latest technologies to deliver impactful learning experiences and build lasting connections.

Strengthening employee connections beyond the traditional work environment

“Values Unlocked was more than just a recreational activity; it was an expression of our culture and a reflection of our commitment to Burgan Bank’s staff,” commented Mr. Naqeeb Amin, General Manager – Human Resources Development Group at Burgan Bank. “The event was designed to strengthen the spirit of teamwork, engagement, and strategic thinking, while also providing an opportunity for colleagues to bond outside the traditional work environment. It was built as part of our action plan, which we based on the feedback received from the Great Place to Work® survey.”

He added: “We remain committed to listening attentively to our employees and creating outstanding experiences that align with their aspirations, further enriching our values-driven workplace culture and delivering impactful employee engagement programs.”

The cross-functional teams competed in a series of interactive challenges that relied on essential skills such as critical thinking and creative problem solving to advance through the treasure hunt and finish among the winning teams. The first-place team won a prize of KD 750, followed by the second – place team who won KD 250, whereas the third-place team won a prize of KD 100 and trophies in recognition of their participation.

Besides organizing team building events such as “Values Unlocked”, Burgan Bank remains committed to upholding its balanced and encouraging work environment throughout the year by designing spaces, beginning with the MR floor where employees can bond and form genuine connections, as well as rolling out various in-house initiatives that aim to educate, engage, and entertain employees in correspondence with the Bank’s values and strategies, furthering its mission to become an employer of choice.
