Kuwait, 7 March 2026: Kuwait International Bank (KIB) continues to provide its banking services to customers as usual across its various channels, while maintaining full operational readiness to ensure services continue efficiently and reliably.

In light of the current circumstances facing the country, KIB confirms that its banking systems and technological infrastructure are operating at full readiness, enabling customers to conduct their transactions easily and securely through its branch network and various digital channels.

Prioritizing the safety of its customers and employees, KIB has activated its business continuity and risk management plans in line with approved procedures. These measures ensure operational stability and the uninterrupted delivery of services, in accordance with the directives of the Central Bank of Kuwait.

To ensure customers can access banking services with ease under all circumstances, the KIB Mobile app offers a comprehensive suite of digital banking solutions. These include managing accounts, cards, and investments; viewing financing details and payment schedules; as well as making transfers, paying bills, and managing beneficiaries. The app also offers advanced features such as KIBPay, which allows users to request payments, top up accounts, and split bills with ease.

Additional features include linking children’s accounts, integrating Western Union services for international transfers, and the Visa Click to Pay feature, along with a data update service that allows customers to easily update their personal information at any time.

Customers can also benefit from the WAMD instant payment system, powered by KNET, which allows money transfers directly from account to account using a valid mobile number, anytime, anywhere.

Furthermore, and as part of the Bank’s strategy to develop its electronic channels and enhance the customer experience, Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) are deployed across various areas of Kuwait. These machines enable customers to carry out a wide range of banking transactions, including cash withdrawals and deposits, cheque deposits and encashment, and card printing, in addition to responding to inquiries through high-definition video calls with service representatives.

Customers can also benefit from KIB’s extensive ATM network across Kuwait to perform essential transactions, including cash withdrawals and deposits, transferring funds between accounts, managing PINs, and making cardless withdrawals using their Civil ID and mobile phone number. Additional services include credit card payments, activating new cards, subscribing to banking SMS alerts, redeeming reward points for cashback, and reloading KIB prepaid cards.

Othman Tawfeqe, General Manager of the Retail Banking Department at KIB, said: “We remain committed to maintaining the readiness of our systems and teams to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of banking services to our customers at all times. The safety of our customers and employees continues to be our top priority, alongside our commitment to providing a reliable banking experience that supports our customers’ daily needs under all circumstances. We pray to Almighty God to protect the State of Kuwait and preserve its enduring blessings of security and stability.”

Customers can reach KIB at any time through its Contact Center and digital communication channels, all of which are fully staffed and ready to assist around the clock. Support is available via the Contact Center at 1866866 locally or +965 2295 7300 internationally, through the Bank’s official WhatsApp account registered on the local KIB number (1866866), or through the Live Chat feature on the KIB website. For more information, customers are encouraged to visit www.KIB.com.kw or follow the Bank’s official social media pages for the latest updates and announcements.

It is worth noting that KIB continues to closely monitor developments and keep customers informed of any updates, while maintaining the highest levels of operational readiness and delivering its services in line with best banking practices, reflecting its main slogan, “Bank for Life.”
