Kuwait, 4 August 2026: Kuwait International Bank (KIB) announced the launch of its new Premium Segment, designed to offer customers an elevated banking experience that reflects their evolving lifestyle needs and supports their ambitions. This new segment comes as part of the Bank’s efforts to consolidate its exclusive benefits and premium banking services into a dedicated offering, aimed at meeting customer needs while providing greater financial flexibility and personalized services.

Commenting on the launch, Othman Tawfeqe, General Manager of the Retail Banking Department at KIB stated: “We are pleased to introduce KIB’s new Premium Segment, which reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering a more rewarding and personalized banking experience for our customers. Designed for convenience and value-added solutions, the Premium Segment consolidates the Bank’s premium offerings into a seamless experience, bringing together priority banking, distinctive card privileges, travel benefits, concierge services, rewards, cashback, and digital banking access.”

Tawfeqe explained that the Premium Segment is available to eligible new and existing retail banking customers who meet specific financial criteria, including a monthly salary between KD 1,500 and KD 2,999, or total deposits between KD 30,000 and KD 99,999. Eligible customers will have access to a range of existing banking benefits, including a complimentary Visa debit card with a distinctive design, priority transaction handling through KIB’s 24/7 Call Center, priority service across all KIB branches, and a free annual standing order.

Premium Segment customers will also receive a free Visa Signature credit card for the first year, with its existing suite of premium travel, lifestyle, and protection privileges. These include access to more than 1,200 airport lounges worldwide through Visa Airport Companion, complimentary multi-trip travel insurance for the cardholder and their family for trips of up to 90 days, protection against fraud and misuse, and exclusive hotel offers and discounts on selected booking and car rental services. The card is also accepted at more than 1.9 million ATMs worldwide, offering customers enhanced convenience wherever they travel.

In addition, Visa Signature cardholders have access to Visa Concierge services, offering 24/7 local and international assistance through a dedicated and highly professional team, including digital concierge support, phone and email assistance, and live chat with a lifestyle manager. These services include flight, hotel, and car rental bookings, fine dining reservations, access to tickets and hospitality packages for exclusive events, and a wide range of lifestyle benefits.

Customers within the Premium Segment will also enjoy access to the recently revamped KIB Rewards Program, which delivers an integrated digital rewards experience through the KIB Mobile App. Reward points are calculated based on the customer segment and approved credit limit, allowing Premium Segment customers to earn up to KD 300 worth of points per month. These points can be redeemed through multiple options, including cashback to credit or prepaid cards, cashback to current or savings accounts, e-vouchers, digital shopping, and gifting or transferring points.

Further consolidated benefits under the Premium Segment include a 50% discount on safe deposit boxes, as well as exclusive offers and discounts from KIB and Visa. These benefits are designed to provide customers with greater convenience, added value, and peace of mind across their banking and personal needs.

Through KIB’s digital banking ecosystem, Premium Segment customers can seamlessly manage their banking and financing needs across KIB Mobile App, online banking services, and KIB Post Pay. Among these channels, KIB Post Pay, Kuwait’s first banking shopping application, brings customers exclusive offers from more than 100 partners, along with access to Islamic financing solutions featuring flexible installments, instant initial approval, easy application tracking, and no salary transfer requirement. Financing through KIB Post Pay ranges from KD 300 up to KD 25,000, with installment periods from 3 to 60 months and real-time tracking of financing requests.

It is worth noting that the launch of the Premium Segment forms part of the Bank’s broader strategy to enhance customer experience, expand its digital banking capabilities, and deliver innovative offerings that reflect its “Bank for Life” slogan.
