DUBAI/KUALA LUMPUR: Travellers looking for a vibrant summer getaway are invited to experience Malaysia through Citrawarna Malaysia 2026 (Colours of Malaysia), one of the country’s most iconic cultural celebrations taking place from 24 to 26 July 2026 at Merdeka Square, Kuala Lumpur. Held in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026), the event will transform the heart of the capital into a spectacular showcase of Malaysia’s rich cultural diversity, traditions, cuisine and artistic heritage under the theme “The Rhythm. The Soul. The Nation.”

Bringing together performers, artists and cultural communities from across the country, Citrawarna Malaysia 2026 offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience the essence of Malaysia in a single destination. The three-day celebration will feature four signature experiences – Colours of Parade, Colours of Flavours, Colours of Art and Colours of Culture – each highlighting different aspects of Malaysia’s multicultural identity.

The highlight of the festival will be the Colours of Parade on 25 July 2026, where contingents representing Malaysia’s states and cultural communities will participate in a dazzling procession featuring traditional costumes, music, dance and storytelling. The event promises an unforgettable celebration of unity, creativity and national pride, making it one of the flagship attractions of the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.

Visitors will also be able to explore Malaysia’s rich culinary heritage through live cooking demonstrations and food showcases, discover traditional arts and handicrafts through interactive exhibitions, and participate in cultural activities that reflect the traditions and customs of Malaysia’s diverse communities.

Beyond Citrawarna, travellers are encouraged to extend their stay and discover the many experiences Malaysia has to offer. From Kuala Lumpur’s iconic landmarks and shopping districts to the heritage streets of Penang and Malacca, the tropical islands of Langkawi and the Perhentians, and the rainforests and wildlife of Sabah and Sarawak, Malaysia offers a diverse range of attractions suited to every traveller.

Whether seeking relaxation, adventure, family-friendly attractions or cultural immersion, visitors can enjoy a journey tailored to their interests. Excellent connectivity, warm hospitality and world-class tourism infrastructure make Malaysia an ideal destination for GCC travellers throughout the summer season.

Food lovers can embark on a culinary journey through the country’s renowned street food, authentic regional delicacies and multicultural flavours, while nature enthusiasts can explore marine parks, tropical rainforests and some of Southeast Asia’s most remarkable wildlife experiences.

As Malaysia advances its Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign, Citrawarna Malaysia 2026 stands as a celebration of everything that makes the country unique. Travellers are invited to experience the colours, flavours, traditions and spirit of Malaysia while creating unforgettable memories at one of the nation’s premier cultural events.
