Costa Navarino, the sustainably driven destination in Messinia, southwest Peloponnese, received multiple distinctions in the 2026 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, with three of its resorts named among at the Top 10 of the World’s Best Resorts in Greece in the US edition.

Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino secured the 8th spot, while The Westin Resort Costa Navarino and The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort, ranked 9th and 10th respectively in the Resorts category. Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino also secured 3rd spot in the same category in the UK edition of the Awards.

Voted annually by readers of Condé Nast Traveler in the US and Condé Nast Traveller in the UK, the Readers’ Choice Awards reflect travellers’ own experiences across destinations, hotels and resorts around the world. This year’s results recognize the hospitality experiences offered across Costa Navarino, where accommodation offering is complemented by Messinia’s natural landscape and cultural heritage, alongside gastronomy, wellbeing, sport and experiences connected to the region.

Overlooking the historic Bay of Navarino, Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino brings together Mandarin Oriental’s legendary service with an authentic sense of place. The resort’s suites and villas, eight restaurants and bars, beach club, Spa and fitness offering, alongside a curated programme of gastronomic, wellness, cultural and outdoor experiences, invite guests to discover Messenia through a deeply personal journey.

The Westin Resort Costa Navarino is the ideal family destination, offering a wide variety of indoor and outdoor sports and unique activities for children. Young guests cool off at the aqua park’s waterslides, while sports enthusiasts train with the best, in sports camps featuring basketball, football with the NBA Basketball School and the Juventus Academy Resort Experience, alongside further sports programmes and activities.

Set among olive groves with views towards the Ionian Sea, The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort evolved its guest experience with new culinary concepts focused on local produce and seasonality, an expanded holistic experience to wellbeing and longevity, and enhanced villa offering.

Guests can delve into the region’s rich culinary heritage and centuries-long traditions, while in Costa Navarino. They can become one of the locals, by joining traditional olive and wine harvesting, cooking classes, and astronomy nights. While visiting Navarino Agora, a bustling hub of art and culture, they can discover a rich program of events, alongside a curated retail selection, gastronomy venues, an open-air cinema and entertainment spaces. Those actively inclined can indulge in golf on Costa Navarino’s four award-winning signature courses, or play tennis, padel and pickleball at the Mouratoglou Tennis Centre featuring 17 state-of-the-art courts. Alternatively, guests can opt for sea activities including diving, sailing, kitesurfing, SUP, and more, or discover the untouched Messinian nature through cycling and hiking trips. Across Costa Navarino, there are more than 40 dining venues, featuring a variety of cuisines, ranging from local Messinian specialties to fine dining, using the region’s finest and fresh produce.

Costa Navarino is a 45 minute-drive from Kalamata International Airport with flights from major European hubs.
