Kuwait Hosts SAP Business Suite Innovation Day to Shape an AI-Powered Future
Event marks signing of MoU between CAIT and SAP to develop national talent in Business AI, cloud, and data science, supporting Kuwait’s Vision 2035
Kuwait City, Kuwait — 24 November, 2025 — held under the patronage and in the presence of H.E. Omar Saud Al-Omar, senior business executives and technology experts gathered in Kuwait City for the SAP Business Suite Innovation Day 2025 – Kuwait, to explore how Business AI, cloud computing, and intelligent technologies can drive transformation and accelerate the nation’s digital agenda through an integrated ecosystem and sustainable practices.
The event, which unfolded in the presence of His Excellency Omar Saud Al-Omar, Kuwait’s Minister of State for Communication Affairs, and His Excellency Hans-Christian Freiherr von Reibnitz, Germany’s Ambassador to Kuwait, served as a platform to explore how organizations can leverage advanced technology to transform sectors and support the country’s Vision 2035 and its evolving digital transformation priorities.
The event also emphasized national strategies to advance the skills and readiness of young Kuwaitis, supporting the country’s ambition to build a sustainable, technology-driven digital economy through public-private collaboration.
In his address, H.E. Omar Saud Al-Omar reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to accelerating digital integration and strengthening partnership between the government and the private sector. His Excellency emphasized that Kuwaiti youth represent “the cornerstone of these national efforts.” He added that the insights and discussions presented during the event further reinforce Kuwait’s regional position in artificial intelligence and technology-driven growth.
Kuwait-SAP MoU on Business AI Education and Innovation

E. the Minister of Communications, the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) and SAP announced an MoU aimed at promoting business AI education and digital upskilling in Kuwait, with plans to build a pipeline of talent in AI, cloud, and data sciences to support Kuwait’s digital transformation objectives under Vision 2035, enhance innovation and develop a sustainable economy. SAP will contribute through <a href="https://middleeastdaily.net/burgan-bank-concludes-its-sponsorship-of-dar-al-athar-al-islamiyyahs-9th-annual-fall-festival/”>annual training opportunities for Kuwaiti graduates via SAP Young Professionals Program (YPP), and by providing annual placements at the SAP Academy for Engineering in Silicon Valley for advanced training in AI, machine learning, programming, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
Speaking at the SAP Innovation Day, H.E. Hans-Christian von Reibnitz hailed Germany and Kuwait’s strong bilateral ties. “Germany takes great pride in seeing its technology contribute to Kuwait’s progress toward its Vision 2035 goals. SAP also announced the launch of Kuwait SAP User Group (KWTSUG) during the SAP Business Suite Innovation Day. KWTSUG, the 51st SAP user group globally, will form a collaborative community for customers, partners, and SAP experts to share best practices, network, discuss innovation, and influence SAP solution development. The group will organize workshops, technical sessions, and facilitate dialogue on SAP technologies, reinforcing the company’s commitment to empowering Kuwaiti enterprises and ensuring they gain optimal value from their digital investments.
Sundus Bushahri, Managing Director of SAP Kuwait, emphasized that the initiative reflects the Ministry of Communications’ vision to accelerate national digital integration, enhance digital infrastructure, and improve efficiency and transparency across public services. “This user group creates a collaborative space where customers, partners, and experts can share insights, exchange innovation, and build stronger digital capabilities together,” Bushahri added.
