A marketing specialist at Eqvilent, a global quantitative trading company, becomes the division’s overall champion, representing the UAE at an FEI-judged event, marking a step toward the Asian Games 2026.
[Dubai, UAE – February 2026]: Mohamed Al Serkal, Marketing Specialist at Eqvilent, won first place in the CDI1* Small Tour at the CDI Abu Dhabi competition (6–8 February 2026) and became overall champion of the division. The event was judged by a five-nation FEI panel and became Al Serkal’s third international competition in 2026, scoring 3rd MER for the Asian Games.
Al Serkal’s CDI1* title marks an important step in international dressage competition, with this level contributing valuable ranking points toward the Asian Games and serving as key preparation for upcoming tour shows. The result aligns with the UAE National Sports Strategy 2031, which aims to increase the representation of Emirati athletes on the global stage.
Mohamed is an employee at Eqvilent’s Dubai headquarters. The company’s “remote first” work policy helps employees manage competing commitments by allowing them to work remotely and balance their daily responsibilities with personal development and ambitions.
“My work at Eqvilent gives me a platform to develop professionally in a fast-paced industry, while the company’s flexible approach allows me to pursue competitive sport. The discipline required in both preparation, precision, and consistent performance reinforces a mindset that I bring to my marketing work every day,” said Mohamed Al Serkal, Marketing Specialist, Eqvilent.
The company’s employee development programme supports staff who pursue competitive sport alongside their professional careers. As part of this commitment to Al Serkal’s athletic development, Eqvilent has supported the acquisition of Zen Liquidity, an 11-year-old stallion registered with the Royal Warmblood Studbook of the Netherlands. The horse is stabled at the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, where Al Serkal trains.
“Mohamed exemplifies the high-performance mindset we value across our organisation. His discipline as a competitive athlete is reflected in the quality of his professional work. We believe in investing in our people by supporting their growth both within their roles and in pursuits that drive personal excellence,” commented Stanislav Semenov, Founder and CEO at Eqvilent.
Equestrian sport has deep cultural roots in the region. In 2022, the UAE Ministry of Economy reported that nearly AED 2.1 billion was spent on training racehorses nationally. According to market analysis, the Middle East has one of the highest average spends per rider globally.
It underscores the importance of supporting athletes and helping them move from national success to international representation.
*CDI (Concours de Dressage International) denotes an international dressage competition recognised by the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI). Events are rated by stars (1–5), with higher ratings indicating elite competition levels.
