Supercharged by AI for PC-Like Productivity in an Expressive, Lightweight Design

    By Rafiq Vayani

DUBAI: Huawei officially launched the HUAWEI MatePad Air, a new 12-inch tablet designed for users who seek lightness, creativity, and authentic self-expression. Featuring an upgraded design, display, and AI-enabled productivity, establishing itself as a stylish, fun, and capable companion. Available in Airy Blue, and White, the tablet opts for restrained aesthetics and timeless hues, transforming itself into an extension of the user’s personality and lifestyle.

The HUAWEI MatePad Air is available through the official Huawei online store and retail stores across the UAE, with prices starting at a highly competitive AED 2,999. Customers who purchase the device within the first month of its launch will receive a complimentary one-year subscription to WPS AI. The MatePad Air also comes with a selection of additional valuable gifts. To know more visit the official Huawei Consumer Page.

    AI-Powered Productivity

Designed for young creators, students, and mobile professionals, the HUAWEI MatePad Air continuously refines its software ecosystem and accessories, transforming the tablet into a genuine tool for productivity. The new WPS AI feature introduces an intelligent office suite with seamless online collaboration and PDF editing capabilities, integrating key productivity scenarios to improve work efficiency and collaboration. The Smart Capture tool can generate topics, create outlines, refine content, and draft documents based on user input.

Users can now prepare presentations faster, thanks to AI, by automatically extracting key points from documents to generate slides. For lengthy PDFs, users can summarise core ideas, extract key data, and map structural frameworks to improve efficiency using AI.

HUAWEI Notes has been upgraded with even richer note-taking tools, delivering a new paperless creative experience. When paired with the HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro, it transforms the tablet’s handwriting capabilities, enabling users to freely express their ideas and capture work on the go. When paired with the HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro and the Smart Magnetic Keyboard, the MatePad Air effortlessly switches between learning, office work, and creative scenarios.

Upgraded OLED PaperMatte Display: For an enhanced visual experience, the MatePad Air has transitioned from LCD to OLED across the entire lineup. The new PaperMatte Edition features a 12-inch OLED PaperMatte display with 2.8K high resolution, a 144 Hz maximum refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1,200 nits, and a P3 cinema-grade colour gamut. This delivers a more refined and vivid visual experience for reading, watching videos, drawing, and working.

To address sparkle issues common with matte screens, the MatePad Air introduces a high-precision nano-level etching process, reducing glare and reflections while maintaining a paper-like writing and touch feel.

Evolved Lightweight Aesthetics: The MatePad Air pushes the boundaries of thinness and lightness, weighing just 509 g and measuring only 5.3 mm thick. Beyond its slim and light chassis, the HUAWEI MatePad Air delivers a stable and highly efficient overall experience. In terms of battery life, the 10,100 mAh large-capacity battery supports up to 16 hours of local HDR video playback, perfect for hours of entertainment, mobile office work, and study. The 66 W HUAWEI SuperCharge Turbo mode can charge the battery up to 42% in just 30 minutes.

The HUAWEI MatePad Air balances productivity and comfort

With it, Huawei gives users a new way to stay productive while also manifesting their aesthetic expression, powered by cutting-edge tech and productive value.
