    Kuwait, 20 August 2026
Reflecting its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and the development of future national talent, Burgan Bank successfully concluded the latest edition of its “Path” Summer Internship Program, marking the completion of a four-week learning journey for 28 participants. Developed in collaboration with CODED Academy and welcoming trainees from LOYAC alongside the children of Burgan Bank employees, the program combined theoretical learning, practical banking exposure, digital skills, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship to enhance participants’ readiness for future academic and professional opportunities.

The program culminated in a graduation event and final project showcase, during which participants presented their projects and shared key highlights from their experience before a judging panel comprising Burgan Bank executives. The event also recognized outstanding participants through the “Best Sales” and “Best App and Project Idea” awards, celebrating their creativity, commercial thinking, and ability to translate the knowledge and skills gained throughout the program into practical concepts.

“Path” forms part of Burgan Bank’s broader efforts to foster a culture of continuous learning, support its employees and their families, and strengthen collaboration with educational institutions. Through the program, the Bank seeks to provide young people with meaningful exposure to the workplace while developing the practical, digital, financial, and interpersonal skills required to navigate future career opportunities.

On this occasion, Ms.  Fatima Ahmad, Senior Manager – Culture and Employee Experience at Burgan Bank, stated: “We are proud to see our participants complete a month-long learning journey that brought together banking knowledge, digital skills, entrepreneurship, and practical experience across Burgan Bank. The graduation projects demonstrated not only what they learned throughout the program, but also their creativity, confidence, teamwork, and ability to transform ideas into tangible concepts.”
She added: “The program embodies our commitment to empowering the younger generation by providing an enriching experience that enhances their knowledge, equips them with practical skills, and introduces them to the career opportunities offered by the banking sector, thereby preparing national talents capable of keeping pace with future demands.”
Nada Daneshi, Manager of the Professional Empowerment Department at LOYAC, stated: “We are pleased to collaborate with Burgan Bank through the “Path” Summer Internship Program, providing young people with meaningful opportunities to gain hands-on experience in a real work environment. The program helped participants strengthen their professional and personal skills while gaining a deeper understanding of workplace requirements.”
She added: “Experiences such as these play an important role in developing essential competencies including teamwork, communication, responsibility, and problem-solving, and in preparing young people to approach their future academic and professional journeys with greater confidence.”
As part of the program’s entrepreneurship track, developed in collaboration with CODED Academy, participants gained hands-on experience in developing digital application concepts, creating visual identities, and preparing website and application prototypes. They also developed their public speaking, presentation, and pitching skills, which they applied during the final project showcase at the program’s graduation.
During the final two weeks of the program, participants also completed field training across various departments and branches of Burgan Bank, gaining first-hand exposure to the banking sector and practical workplace experience under the guidance of Bank professionals.
The program also incorporated financial literacy workshops under the “Let’s Be Aware” (Diraya) campaign, launched by the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) in cooperation with the Kuwait Banking Association (KBA) and Kuwaiti banks. The sessions introduced participants to key topics including financial fraud and cybercrime, preventive measures, saving, and the safe use of banking services, while encouraging sound financial habits from an early age. Participants also developed essential workplace skills relevant to the banking sector, including customer service, effective communication, and teamwork.
Through the successful completion of “Path”, Burgan Bank reaffirms its commitment to investing in young national talent and creating meaningful learning opportunities in collaboration with educational and technology partners. The program forms part of the Bank’s broader corporate social responsibility efforts to equip future generations with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience required to keep pace with the evolving demands of the future, in line with its “Driven by You” philosophy.
