kuwait-sets-a-new-regional-milestone-in-5g-advanced-technology/”>Kuwait, 22 September 2026: Kuwait International Bank (KIB) announced the launch of its new ‘DriveNow’ app on the sidelines of its participation in Auto World Show 2026, taking place September 21 to September 26 at the Kuwait International Fairground in Mishref. The app reflects the Bank’s ongoing efforts to provide innovative banking solutions that keep pace with customers’ evolving needs. It is designed to simplify the car ownership process by bringing vehicle search and financing applications together on a single integrated platform.
The DriveNow app, which is available on both Android and iOS platforms, enables customers to browse available cars, compare specifications and prices, explore financing options, choose a suitable payment plan, submit a financing application, and track its progress from submission through completion.
During the exhibition, KIB is offering a total of 25 zero-profit (0%) financing offers on various car models, including the Toyota Land Cruiser in collaboration with ALSAYER Group, with free servicing for up to 50,000 kilometers and a five-year warranty. These offers are available exclusively throughout the duration of Auto World Show.
The zero-profit financing offers also apply to the Nissan X-Trail from Al-Babtain Group, the GAC GS8 from Mutawa AlKazi, and the Avatr 07 from Adel Alghanim Automotive, alongside several other offers, giving visitors the opportunity to choose their preferred vehicle while benefiting from KIB’s special financing solutions.
Commenting on the new app, Othman Tawfeqe, General Manager of the Retail Banking Department at KIB, said: “KIB’s DriveNow app reflects the direction in which we are continuing to develop our retail banking proposition: building solutions around customers’ everyday needs and making their financial transactions simpler and easier. Car ownership is an important financial decision for many customers, and we saw an opportunity to bring together the different stages of that journey within one digital platform.”
Tawfeqe added: “We chose to reveal the ‘DriveNow’ app at Auto World Show, as it is one of the most prominent events specializing in the automotive sector in Kuwait. Our participation also represents a valuable opportunity to engage directly with customers, understand their aspirations, and showcase our innovative digital banking solutions, specifically designed to meet all their needs.”
At Auto World Show, KIB is welcoming visitors across three dedicated booths, where they can explore ALSAYER Group offers, Takaful insurance services, as well as a dedicated booth for the direct sale of GAC vehicles. In addition to discovering the vehicles and the features of the new “DriveNow” app, the Bank is offering visitors a distinctive interactive entertainment experience featuring a virtual reality simulation game, along with a coffee corner available throughout the exhibition.
For his part, Abdulaziz Al-Shammari, Assistant General Manager of the Retail Banking Department at KIB, said: “Whether customers already have a specific vehicle in mind or are still considering their options, the new DriveNow app offers a range of features that simplify the ownership process. It helps streamline many of the steps customers previously had to navigate when moving from choosing a vehicle to arranging its financing.”
Al-Shammari further explained that DriveNow operates in line with KIB’s Islamic banking principles, with financing options available through the app, including Musawamah financing, structured in accordance with Sharia principles. Once an application is submitted, a KIB team member will contact the customer to continue the process, and financing is subject to KIB’s approval requirements. The cars shown on DriveNow are offered by KIB’s partner merchants, who remain responsible for availability, delivery, warranty, and returns, while KIB’s role is to facilitate financing.
Al Shammari added: “Auto World Show gives customers an opportunity to experience how DriveNow works in practice. They can explore the vehicles on display, identify their financing needs with the Bank’s specialized team, and then easily complete the process digitally through the app.
It is worth noting that the new app further reflects KIB’s commitment to expanding its digital ecosystem and introducing solutions that are relevant to customers’ lifestyles. By adding the DriveNow app to its constantly expanding digital offering, the Bank continues to combine innovation, convenience, and customer engagement in line with its strategy of delivering a more advanced banking experience and its main slogan, ‘Bank for Life’.
