800-plus audience celebrates AI-powered talent, digital entrepreneurship and future-ready skills at Karachi finale
KARACHI: Okhai Memon Jamat celebrated the successful completion of its two-month AI & Digital Summer Camp 2026 with the AI Stars Talent Show and Certification Day at Hussain Ebrahim Sports Complex, Hussainabad, on August 30. The finale attracted an audience of more than 800 students, parents, community members and guests, highlighting growing enthusiasm for AI and digital education among young learners.
Presented by Okhai Memon Jamat and powered by its Social Welfare Committee, the online programme enrolled 500 students from Okhai Memon, other Memon and non-Memon communities, with participation extending to different cities and internationally to the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa and China. Students participated in two categories — AI Stars Junior (ages 7–10) and AI Champions League (ages 11–18).
Under the mentorship of Lead Trainer Saba Vayani, students received practical training in Generative AI, prompt engineering, graphic designing, content creation, social media marketing and video editing. Shoaib Abdul Sattar Khosa covered coding, while Uzair Ganatra trained students in robotics. Rather than relying only on lectures, the camp focused on activities, assignments and real-world projects designed to turn digital knowledge into practical skills.
The results were showcased at the AI Stars Talent Show, where young participants presented AI-powered projects, content, UGC advertisements, social media pages and brands they had created, with some already beginning to offer digital services. Their work demonstrated the programme’s focus on moving students from learning digital tools to actually creating, building and exploring entrepreneurial opportunities with them.
op performers were recognised with certificates, prizes and cash awards. In each of the two categories, the first-position winner received Rs5,000, second position Rs3,000, and third position Rs1,500, taking the total cash awards for six top achievers to Rs19,000.
The initiative reflected the vision of Aziz Ahmed Kath, President of Okhai Memon Jamat, to promote education and equip the younger generation with future-ready skills. Shahid Adam Kath, Chairman of the Social Welfare Committee; Irfan Nisar Gaba, Vice Chairman; and Shoaib Abdul Sattar Khosa played key roles in supporting and organising the programme alongside Saba Vayani. Shahid Adam Kath, Irfan Nisar Gaba, Rafiq Vayani and other community representatives and guests attended the finale.
Building on the momentum of the summer camp, the Social Welfare Committee will launch “Fundamentals of YouTube Automation” on September 6, 2026, continuing Okhai Memon Jamat’s drive to provide practical digital education and pathways toward emerging online opportunities.
