ISLAMABAD: As part of its Independence Day campaign, ‘Pakistan Jitna Jawan’, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), in collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF), organized a tree plantation drive at the PTCL Training Academy in Islamabad under the banner of ‘Plant for Pakistan’, reaffirming a shared commitment to building a cleaner, greener and more sustainable Pakistan.
Nadeem Khan, CEO, PTCL, and Rab Nawaz, Senior Director Programmes, WWF-Pakistan, participated in the plantation activity, joined by executive management from both organizations and members of the PTCL family. The initiative brought together employees and leadership in a collective effort to contribute towards a healthier environment and a greener future for the country.
The ‘Plant for Pakistan’ initiative reflects PTCL’s broader commitment to reducing its environmental impact and advancing its sustainability agenda, including efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and work towards its long-term goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions. The initiative complements these efforts by supporting a greener, more sustainable and climate-resilient future for Pakistan.
