Reaffirming its commitment to empowering young Kuwaiti women in STEM and nurturing the next generation of regional tech leaders and entrepreneurs

    ●       Supporting Kuwait’s largest initiative for women in technology and entrepreneurship

    ●       2026 curriculum introduces dedicated Claude (AI) training

    ●       Hands-on learning through mentorship and real-world project experience

Kuwait, 19 August 2026: As part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts and commitment to empowering young talent, <a href="https://middleeastdaily.net/talabat-hosts-an-employee-blood-donation-drive-in-partnership-with-kuwait-central-blood-bank/”>talabat, the leading everyday app in Middle East & North Africa (MENA), announced the renewal of its strategic sponsorship of Academy X, further building on its long-standing support of the program.

Led by CODED Academy, Academy X stands as Kuwait’s largest women’s empowerment initiative within the technology and entrepreneurship industries. This continued partnership reflects talabat’s proactive role in nurturing national talent, advancing digital literacy, and supporting Kuwait’s broader ambitions for innovation and economic development under Vision 2035.

The announcement was made during a joint press conference attended by all program sponsors to discuss its vision, upcoming cohorts, and future ambitions. Among the key speakers at the event was Amal Bukhamseen, Manager of Corporate Affairs at talabat Kuwait, who highlighted the importance of building an inclusive technology ecosystem and creating stronger links between education and real-world industry experience.

“Empowering the next generation of female leaders in STEM remains a core pillar of talabat’s social responsibility strategy,” said Amal Bukhamseen. “We are proud to renew our partnership with CODED Academy for the third consecutive year. By equipping these young women with future-focused skills, emerging technologies, and practical industry knowledge, we aim to build their confidence and empower them to innovate, create, and lead. Our investment in youth is ultimately an investment in Kuwait’s digital future.”

On his part, Hashim Behbehani, Co-founder and Chief Operations Officer of CODED, said in a statement at the launch press conference: “Academy X is more than a training program; it’s a platform that opens new horizons for young women to experience innovation and shape the future. We believe that AI and technology skills are no longer an optional luxury, but rather an essential tool for success in various fields, from entrepreneurship and marketing to design and digital solutions development. At CODED, we work to foster an environment that empowers participants with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to transform their ideas into tangible projects and achievements. The successes we witness year after year from Academy X graduates confirm the immense potential of young Kuwaiti women when given the right opportunities and support.”

Behbehani added: “We also extend our sincere thanks to our partners and sponsors who share this vision and contribute to empowering a new generation of ambitious young women to play an active role in building a more innovative and impactful future.”

While the core curriculum of Academy X remains anchored in high-impact foundations – including app and web development, user interface and user experience design (UI/UX), leadership, soft skills, and entrepreneurial fundamentals – this year features a new addition. The curriculum will now include a dedicated session focused on Claude (AI), training participants on how to write effective prompts to build functional applications while also exploring how AI can be leveraged to support marketing, business development, and digital innovation. This addition aims to equip participants aged 14–18 with some of the latest tools and technologies driving the global tech market today.

Academy X continues to serve as a premier platform for young Kuwaiti women to gain hands-on experience in tech-focused entrepreneurship. Throughout the intensive program, students engage in practical workshops, interact with industry mentors, and collaborate in teams. The program concludes with a capstone project where participants apply their newly acquired skills to develop and pitch innovative digital solutions addressing real-life challenges within their communities, presenting their ideas to a panel of industry experts and specialists.

Through this renewed partnership, talabat and CODED reaffirm their shared mission to empower the next generation of female tech leaders ready to drive sustainable development and shape the digital landscape of tomorrow.
