KARACHI: Saifee Hospital of the Dawoodi Bohra community inaugurated its new 11-storey Cardiac Wing today, covering the full spectrum of cardiovascular treatment and significantly expanding access to specialised cardiac care in Karachi.

The ceremony was attended by the Honourable Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, dignitaries from the government, Honourable Consuls General, doctors, physicians and healthcare professionals, and distinguished members of the business community.

His Eminence Shahzada Qusai Vajihuddin, brother of His Holiness Dr

Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, represented His Holiness during the ceremony.

Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah congratulated the Dawoodi Bohra community on establishing the magnificent new facility, equipped with modern and high-quality medical infrastructure. He stated that the Saifee Hospital Cardiac Wing would provide the public with access to high-quality and modern treatment for heart ailments. Praising the community’s services in the healthcare sector, he described the initiative as an excellent example of service to humanity.

Federal Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb praised the Dawoodi Bohra community for its contribution to society, describing the new facility as a gift to Karachi that will quietly and steadily benefit its people for years to come. He described such initiatives as among the most profound forms of service and expressed confidence that the facility would set a standard for others across the country to follow and draw inspiration from

Shahzada Qusay Vajihuddin welcomed the esteemed guests and shared the vision of His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin to provide healthcare facilities that meet the highest international standards. He encouraged the people of Pakistan to take full advantage of these facilities and emphasised the importance of collectively working towards the progress and betterment of the country

The new Cardiac Wing is a purpose-designed 11-storey facility offering a complete continuum of cardiovascular care, from emergency response, specialist consultation and advanced diagnostics to interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, critical care and rehabilitation. With its foundation laid in early 2022, the Wing significantly expands Saifee Hospital’s capacity to provide specialised cardiac treatment, supported by new-generation medical equipment and clinical systems.

Saifee Hospital is a multi-speciality healthcare institution established by His Holiness Late Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin in memory of his revered father, His Holiness Late Syedna Taher Saifuddin. Its development has continued under the vision and guidance of His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, with continued focus on modern infrastructure, specialised clinical services, professional development and quality patient care.

The Cardiac Wing is a milestone in the Dawoodi Bohra community’s contribution to the socio-development of Pakistan. It also forms part of a broader, holistic approach to healthcare that extends from encouraging healthy lifestyles and preventive care to timely diagnosis, specialised intervention and rehabilitation.
