Union Coop, ABER Launch Mobile Vehicle Inspection Service

    News Desk

DUBAI: Union Coop, in partnership with ABER Vehicle Testing, a vehicle inspection service provider licensed by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has launched its official Mobile Vehicle Inspection Service, marking a pioneering initiative in the retail sector across the Middle East and North Africa.

The service enables customers to complete their official vehicle inspection while shopping, eliminating the need for a separate visit to a traditional vehicle testing centre. This provides greater convenience and allows customers to seamlessly integrate an essential service into their daily shopping routine.

The service has commenced its first phase at Etihad Mall and Dubai Silicon Oasis, with ABER’s mobile inspection units providing official vehicle inspection services at both Union Coop locations. The service will subsequently be expanded in phases to additional locations, extending its reach to a wider range of customers and surrounding residential communities.

ABER’s mobile inspection units are equipped with advanced technology and specialised inspection equipment, with the service operating in accordance with the regulations, operational requirements and safety standards approved by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority.

The initiative aims to bring essential services closer to customers and integrate them into their daily activities, providing greater convenience and flexibility while maintaining the same levels of quality and accuracy delivered through traditional vehicle testing centres.

Commenting on the initiative, Mohamed Al Hashemi, Chief Executive Officer of Union Coop, said: “Vehicle inspection has always meant lost time. A separate trip, waiting, extra planning in an already full day. Today we remove that step, and customers complete their inspection while they shop.

“We are not simply adding a service

We are giving people their time back. That is the value we are building at Union Coop: turning our locations into integrated community destinations that deliver real services in one place, and save customers time instead of consuming it.”

The partnership forms part of Union Coop’s strategy to collaborate with leading organisations across different sectors and expand the range of value-added services available to customers under one roof.

With the launch of the service at Etihad Mall and Dubai Silicon Oasis, Union Coop and ABER are taking another step towards delivering more convenient and accessible services to customers. Further expansion phases and additional locations will be announced in due course.
